Verder kun je ook uitgebloeide bloemen afknippen, inclusief de afstervende stengel. Laat de bladeren wel zitten, aangezien deze de plant bescherming bieden tegen vrieskou.

Het gazon prepareren voor de winter

Gras blijft groeien zolang de temperatuur boven 6 graden is. Ik raad aan om het wel te maaien, maar niet zo kort als gedurende de zomermaanden. Wellicht kun je het gazon nog een keer vertikuteren. Op deze wijze voorkom je dat het blad wat in het voorjaar groeit wordt aangetast.
